Sacred Rust Birds - Craft Stamper

Hello little birdies! These two were made for Craft Stamper's October 2017 issue, for the 3D project gallery. This time the topic was a set of two wooden birds by Creative Company. We could have used just one or make both. I chose to go with the pair and turned them into rusty birdies with a halo!

The halo is made out of corrugated cardboard and cut with a Sizzix die. The birdies have beaks out of a Roman numeral five and wings made of bottle caps and calligraphy pen nibs. The patina and rust is made using the Rust and Patina sets from Prima. These were so fun to do!

Thank you for stopping by today! Have a happy Tuesday!

Materials: Creative Company, Prima Marketing, Sizzix

Dear Riika, please one question to you. How did you come up with the phrase "Sacred Rust".
I am really curious about this.

I was actually meaning more like "rust birds" that are sacred. The "sacred" is referring to the halos they have on their heads.
